The Palmavera nuraghe at the centre of the last event in Sassari

The Nuraghe Palmavera was the focus of the fourth and last meeting, on Friday 16 May, of the cycle of spring meetings organised by our Association in Sassari. Discussions were held on the latest excavation and restoration campaigns of the Nuraghe, which have provided greater insight into the constructive and functional evolution of this extraordinary monument of the Nuragic civilisation.

Starting at around 6.00 p.m. in the Sala delle Conferenze of the Fondazione del Banco di Sardegna, a veritable discussion and dialogue between experts got underway, arousing curiosity and enthusiasm. “Changing Times. Il Nuraghe Palmavera tra archeologia, restauri e valorizzazione’, was the title of the meeting.

The proceedings, introduced by Paolo Tola, a member of the Association, included speeches by Gabriella Gasperetti and Alessandra Carrieri, respectively Archaeologist and Restorer of the Archaeological Superintendency of the Provinces of Sassari and Nuoro, Luca Doro, Archaeologist at the University of Sassari, and Architect Patrizia Luciana Tomassetti.
