With ‘Sentieri nuragici’ guided tours to more than 30 sites

The 29th edition of Monumenti aperti kicks off on 3 May (and runs until 9 November), hosting for the first time ‘Sentieri nuragici’, a fascinating journey to discover the treasures of the millenary Nuragic civilisation.
Thanks to the partnership between Imago Mundi and our Association, it will in fact be possible – between the months of May, June and October – to visit 30 nuragic sites free of charge. The municipalities of Alghero, Arbus, Calangianus, Carbonia, Genuri, Golfo Aranci, Gonnosfanadiga, Lunamatrona, Mogoro, Olbia, Oschiri, Ossi, Pabillonis, Padria, Sarroch, Settimo San Pietro, Siddi, Stintino, Tertenia, Tortolì, and Triei will host enthusiasts and the curious in a journey of rediscovery and enhancement of the ancient Sardinian civilisation.

The 2025 edition of Monumenti aperti was presented on Wednesday 30 April in Cagliari at the seat of the Regional Council, in the presence, among others, of the President Pierpaolo Vargiu and the President of Imago Mundi, Massimiliano Messina, who highlighted the importance of the partnership with ‘Sardinia towards UNESCO’.

This year Monumenti Aperti is presented under the title of ‘Dove tutto è possibile’ (Where everything is possible), the theme for 2025, an invitation to let oneself be surprised, to look at our extraordinary cultural heritage with new eyes, to create connections between past and future because each testimony tells not only its own story but also that of the people who lived it. Exactly like the ancient Sardinian civilisation.

The possibility of including the ‘Sentieri nuragici’ (Nuragic Paths) initiative within the framework of Monumenti aperti (Open Monuments) represents, for our Association, an important cultural promotion action aimed at raising awareness that investing in the image of Sardinia in the world can be the winning bet for a new path of sustainable development of the island.
