“In a fairly significant group of tombs, equally widespread in the Center-North (tombs of Iloi, Sedilo-OR; Seleni, Lanusei – Nu; etc.), instead of the arched stele, the facade presented a front made of rows of stones, crowned by a particular trapezoidal stone (the so-called “concio a dentelli”), with three hollows (or also three holes) in which three small stone betili were embedded, perhaps symbolizing a triad of deities, or a divine principle reiterated according to a number loaded with magical-religious significance…” (Paolo Melis “Civiltà Nuragica”).
The aerial photo of the TdG of Iloi in Sedilo is by Maurizio Cossu; the panoramic view of the same tomb overlooking the lake is by Sergio Melis, as is the TdG of Pradu su Chiai in Villagrande Strisaili; the photos of the TdG of Seleni in Lanusei and of the stone with three holes are by Beatrice Auguadro; the concis a dentelli refer to the TdG of Iloi and the TdG Maschiola in Aidomaggiore (authors not identified).
