In the distant 2008, Unesco official Manuel Guido had proposed the possibility of creating a network among the nuraghi and including them all in the World Heritage Fund, the Heritage of Humanity. This hypothesis had received lukewarm feedback “in the Region,” and Manuel Guido’s idea had therefore been filed away in the drawer of good intentions.
Today, finally, that ambitious program has concretely begun with the inclusion of the monuments and, more broadly, of the Nuragic Civilization in the Heritage of Humanity.
