The nuraghe Zuras in Abbasanta

The nuraghe Zuras is located 4 km away from the town of Abbasanta.

It is a single-tower nuraghe built with large blocks of basalt arranged in regular rows. Inside the corridor of the nuraghe, there is a small room on the right, while on the left side is the spiral staircase that leads to the upper floor, whose roof has now disappeared. The tholos vault of the first chamber is still completely intact. The nuraghe has a peculiar characteristic: it is equipped with two beams and two small drain windows. In the external masonry of the nuraghe, there are cavities arranged at regular intervals which are thought to have been used to insert wooden beams, perhaps to support an external ramp.

From Abbasanta take the SP15 road to Santu Lussurgiu and turn left onto the dirt road indicated by a tourist sign. Continue for about 500 m. until the Nuraghe.
