On May 28th, continuing at 6 PM, the events promoted by our Association will take place, which have already seen a series of experts discussing topics ranging from economics to art, including the connection between the Nuragic people and water.
An opportunity for in-depth discussion, dialogue, and meeting, our conversations at Sa Manifattura are truly achieving enormous success. We started on March 26 with the first meeting titled “Civiltà nuragica e Unesco, solo cultura o anche sviluppo economico?” which featured the President of the Association,Pierpaolo Vargiu, and the President of the scientific committee,Francesco PigliaruTogether they have tried to outline the path so that the Sardinian nuragic heritage becomes that driving force for development capable of generating real and lasting growth for the entire Sardinia and for future generations, in a process that, starting from the immense historical and archaeological heritage, knows how to combine environmental protection and new development opportunities.
We have continuedApril 15giving space to the theme“Fountains and water architecture in the history of Sardinia”: with the participation ofSandra Tobia, member of the Association, andMarco Cadinu, lecturer in History of Architecture (Unica) we have decoded and interpreted the theme of water through its architectures – numerous and scattered throughout Sardinia – from the oldest to the monumental, up to modern aqueducts and dams. An exciting and unprecedented journey that captured the attention of the 100 people present in the room.
The third meeting is on the first of May, withAntonello Sanna, member of the Association andGiuliana Altea, Art History Professor (UniSS) who have addressed the topic“The Nuragic people are among us. Prehistory and contemporary visual culture.”In this case, starting from the nuragic models, we have retraced the work of some of the main artists, and then of many designers, architects, and writers, who through their personal vision have carried out a reinterpretation (or deconstruction) of prehistoric art, without forgetting fashion which, as Professor Altea said, “certainly has not remained immune to prehistoric charm.”
Now the appointment is set for May 28 with Edoardo Balzarini and Paolo Francalacci who will guide us on a journey between past and present that promises to be exciting.
Looking at the calendar and the other scheduled events, we will continue on Tuesday, June 18 withGianfranco Cocco, member of the Association andGiovanna Fundoni, researcher in Prehistory and Protohistory (UniSS): the dominant theme will always be the vast Sardinian nuragic heritage with a meeting titled“The Sardinians and the fear of the sea. But is it true that the Nuragic people already navigated?”Sixth and final appointment on July 2nd. On this occasionEmanuela Abis, member of the Association, will converse withBarbara Argiolas, territorial strategic consultant, on the topic“Brand: island of nuraghi. What has gone wrong so far?”
