Nuragic Sardinia between identity, culture and development

The autumn appointments of La Sardegna verso l’Unesco started in Sassari too, with the meeting on Tuesday 7 October.

In the conference room of the Fondazione di Sardegna, they talked about identity but also sustainable development and economic prospects.

Opening the proceedings of the well-attended meeting entitled ‘Sardegna Nuragica tra identità, cultura e sviluppo’ (Nuragic Sardinia between identity, culture and development) was Pierpaolo Vargiu, President of the Association, who was accompanied on this journey of (re)discovery and new scenarios by Anna Depalmas, Professor of Prehistory and Protohistory at UniSS, and Raffaele Paci, Professor of Economics at UniCA.

Inserted in the autumn cycle of “Sardinia towards UNESCO” meetings, the Sassaresi events are designed to recount in a new way the extraordinary uniqueness and identity of the ancient Sardinian civilisation, an extraordinary asset for economic development.
