5.2 and 6.2: The nuraghe Paddaggiu, “pagliaio,” in the territory of Castelsardo, is located less than a kilometer away from the famous domu de janas “dell’elefante.” Apparently a single-tower structure, it is actually a complex nuraghe, composed of a central tower and a bastion with two barely discernible lateral towers. Its peculiarity is the presence of a room located on the entrance corridor, originally accessible by a staircase inside the niche on the right of the main chamber. It retains the tholos and the access staircase to the upper floor intact.
The nuraghe Unia is situated near the western coast of Stintino. From a small opening between the large stones of the upper part of the outer wall, one can access a corridor from which a spiral staircase led to the upper part of the tower. Unfortunately, the monument is in precarious conservation conditions.
