15.2 and 16.2: The “Santa Maria” of Cargeghe -a municipality in the province of Sassari within the territorial area of Romangia- is a beautiful single-tower nuraghe that has the tholos still intact. It is located to the north-east of the village, near the industrial area of Campo Mela.
At the site “Sa Mandra Manna”, in the territory of Tula, the following have been identified: a bicellular hypogeal burial dug into the southern wall of the plateau, which features, in the upper part, a natural rock slab that, when viewed from the front, gives the monument a megalithic appearance; a small dolmen; a giant’s tomb; a spring; a megalithic wall with traces of subsequent adaptations; a corridor nuraghe. The wall of the corridor presents large stones, some of which have linear engravings of controversial interpretation.
The photos of the nuraghe Santa Maria of Cargeghe are by Gigi Rocca; those of the nuragic complex Sa Mandra Manna of Tula are by Nuraviganne, Piera Farina Sechi and Bruno Sini, Samuele Garau and Antonio Meledina.
