11.2 and 11a.2: The “Ruju” of Chiaramonti is a single-tower nuraghe with a characteristic truncated cone shape featuring two superimposed chambers. Access is through the central door facing south-southeast, and it has a central chamber with projecting rows that close the dome, along with three lateral cells arranged orthogonally to the entrance. A spiral staircase in a clockwise direction leads to the upper part of the monument right above the central chamber, where the structure of the second chamber is still evident.
The nuraghe Pubattu, located in the territory of Erula and near another beautiful nuraghe called Ispiene, is in good condition, with the tholos still intact and some partial collapse at the spiral staircase.
The photos of the nuraghe Ruju, in Chiaramonti, are by Mario Unali, Romano Stangherlin, Sergio Melis, and Andrea Mura-Nuragando Sardegna; those of the nuraghe Pubattu, in Erula, are by Dana Ricciu.
