59.2 and 60.2: Nuraghe Talaighè of Gavoi and the nuragic complex Dovinilò in Orgosolo

59.2 and 60.2: The nuraghe Talaighé or Talaiché is located about 4 km in a straight line from the village of Gavoi and still features the intact tholos. The nuraghe Dovinilò or Duvinilò, located in the territory of Orgosolo, is a mixed-type monument, built with large granite blocks, featuring a central tower that reaches 12 meters in height and also includes three secondary towers. The entrance with a lintel leads to the corridor with a side room where a well, just under 2 meters deep, is located. In the central chamber, there is a corridor housing the spiral staircase that leads to the upper floor. The other three towers have partially collapsed and are not easily accessible; around the village, the remains of a large village can be seen, which extended over an area of about 8000 square meters. Unfortunately, only a few stones of the homonymous tomb of giants have been preserved. The photos of the nuraghe Talaighé are by Sergio Melis; those of the nuragic complex of Dovinilò are by Francesca Cossu and Marco Cocco.
