The weight of the nuraghi on the GDP of Sardinia

The nuragic heritage hides an unexpressed potential for economic development for Sardinia, with evident impacts on the GDP of Sardinia, quantified for the first time, and on the future development prospects of the Island.

The brand Sardegna linked to the Nuragic civilization has indeed been the subject of two case studies on the development potential of the Island, which will be presented on Saturday, October 14, in Cagliari. The Association Sardegna verso l’UNESCO, with the participation of the company “OC&C Strategy Consultant,” one of the largest global management consulting firms specializing in tourism, and “Eumetra,” an Italian company leading in social and market research, which have prepared the report, will indeed be the protagonist next Saturday of a major event for study and in-depth analysis on the topic.

OC&C has indeed conducted a study that, starting from the current level of knowledge and enjoyment of the nuragic heritage, indicates the impacts on the image of Sardinia and its GDP that would arise from adequate strategic investments. The analysis of the “Sardinia case” is completed by the work of Eumetra, which conducted a survey on the level of knowledge and perception of the Nuragic Civilization outside of Sardinia. The result of the two innovative works will be presented in Cagliari on October 14 at 10 AM (Manifattura Tabacchi), during a day that will feature prestigious testimonials from the economic, financial, marketing, and tourism sectors.

After the introductory remarks by the President of “Sardegna verso Unesco”, Pierpaolo Vargiu, and the President of the Fondazione di Sardegna, Giacomo Spissu, there will be the presentation of the OC&C study by the senior partner of the Italian office, Luca Bettale, and the partners who worked on the project, Anna Mirenda, Simona Dossena, and Matteo Croci, while the study by Eumetra will be presented by President Ludovico Mannheimer.
