The Semestene Nuraghe of Bortigali

The Nuraghe Semestene, in the territory of Bortigali, is a ‘monotorre’, preserved at least 8 metres high, in a beautiful natural setting with a view of the plain below.

The interior features a circular chamber with three niches. The monument is also appreciable from the road, if it were not possible to access the structure, which is preserved within private land.

From the SS 131 in the direction of Sassari, just before the 149 km mark, turn for Mulargia, cross the village and continue for a little over 2 km. You then take the asphalt road on the left, follow it for about 300 metres and turn left again. After about 3 km, you can easily spot the monument, about 30 metres from the road, on the left…’.
