As is well known, several prehistoric and protohistoric monuments scattered throughout the island’s territory have, in relatively recent times, been named after Christian saints. Among these, the Christian martyr Santa Barbara, has given her name to beautiful nuraghi, among which we would like to mention the Santa Barbara of Macomer, Villanova Truschedu, Sindia and Bauladu, shown here in photos by: Gianni Sirigu, Lucia Corda, Diversamente Sardi, Giovanni Sotgiu, Sergio Melis, Marco Cocco and Bibi Pinna.
