After a path through the countryside and close to the railway, the central tower of the nuraghe Ruju di Torralba, a polylobate, towers mightily over the low hills that surround it.

Built of very dark lava stone blocks, a large green bush descends from the top and invades one of the sides, bordered by an extensive patch of yellow lichen. While the lower chamber is still invaded by earth accumulated over time, the upper chamber is accessible through an opening in the side.

Leave the SS 131 at the junction for Thiesi-SS 131bis, and turn onto the SP 21-Scalo Ferroviario di Torralba. At the station, before the level crossing, take a road on the left which you follow for about 2 km, until it crosses the SP 83 road. Turn left and after 700 m, turn right again onto a dirt road, which you follow for about 1.5 km, skirting the railway for a stretch, until you reach, after passing through a gate, the nuraghe, clearly visible from afar.
