The Palace of the People Never Won

Gentlemen, welcome to the land of the Iliensi: here lived one of the ancient Nuragic peoples described by Titus Livius and Roman historiographers. But the legions of Rome never arrived here: at least until today, after a year of excavation, we have not found a single Roman or Punic artefact. All Nuragic stuff, fortresses, walls, tombs, huts. And even a fibula and a bronze needle, two unique pieces that confirm our thesis on the age and civilisation of this people.

This and more was stated by Professor Giuseppa Tanda in an article that appeared in the pages of L’Unione Sarda back in August 2005. An article that we gladly repropose together with the images of the Costa Sa Reggia nuragic complex in Burgos in the shots taken by Nicola Castangia, Sergio Melis and Nuraviganne.
