“…Among these various nuraghi, the one that is best preserved is that of S.Millanu, partially cleared of brambles and underbrush, thanks to the care of the owner, Hon. Avv. Enrico Carboni Boy, deputy of Oristano. It stands in the center of the Valentino plain, a short distance from the channel marked by the Rio Bangius; it is one of the best-preserved monuments in the region. It still has the protruding cone of about 6 meters from the pile of ruins, with traces of a buttress, reinforced by a small tower, in front of the entrance door. The regularity of the tower’s construction, with a slightly narrowing cone, is due to the nature of the material, made of horizontally layered limestone, very compact, sourced from the same hill on which the monument stands, and cut into blocks, which especially in the lower rows, in the lintels and in the frames of the domes and niches, have considerable dimensions…” (from the writings of Antonio Taramelli published in the series curated by Alberto Moravetti “I Tesori dell’Archeologia” – special edition for La Nuova Sardegna – Carlo Delfino editore – 2011)
