The Nuraghe Ruggiu, quadrilobate in blocks of basalt, is located a few hundred meters from the eastern outskirts of Pozzomaggiore, near the remains of another nuraghe called Ruggiu II.
The four secondary towers have mostly collapsed, and a more recent fence is noticeable.
Access to the interior of the keep is through a short covered ogival corridor.
The internal chamber has a diameter of about 10 m and shows the upper part of the dome collapsed. Two niches partially obstructed by debris can be seen.
The photos of the Nuraghe Ruggiu are by Marco Cocco.
