The Nuraghe Piscu of Suelli

“Not far from Suelli, some ignorant people dug up many years ago the nuraghe ‘Piscu’; the excavations were naturally carried out in a vandalistic manner and the few pieces of information collected later by Spano are completely insufficient to reconstruct the history of that building; we know, however, that the central cone was surrounded by four other secondary ones equidistantly, joined by a curtain. The cell of the nuraghe in the middle was paved with large slabs, a type of flooring that must have been common in nuraghi, as noted for example at Losa and in the one called Uliana. In the cell of the nuraghe Piscu and in its access corridor, some objects were found which we will have to address in their place…” These are the words of Giovanni Pinza taken from the volume “Sardinia ancient monuments 1901-1944,” included in the series “Sardegna Archeologica – reprints,” edited by Alberto Moravetti and published by Carlo Delfino in the year 2001.
