The nuraghe Longu of Padria, between past and present

The nuraghe Longu, in Padria, features a complex structure composed of a central tower to which two secondary towers were later added, connected by a straight curtain wall. The monument is also surrounded by what remains of a vast village.

The old black and white photo of the nuraghe is taken from the volume “Immagini dal passato,” published by Delfino and edited by Patricia Olivo, which presents the shots of the Dominican father Peter Paul Mackey (1851-1935), taken during his two trips to Sardinia. The color photos are signed by Lorenzo Muntoni, Sergio Melis, Giovanni Sotgiu, and Maurizio Cossu.
