The nuraghe Erismanzanu or Tarasconis of Esporlatu

“Esporlatu is the smallest of the nine municipalities that make up Goceano, a region in the heart of Sardinia, in the Upper Tirso Valley. The center is located at the foot of the Castello del Goceano, now known as Castello di Burgos, commissioned by Gonario II di Torres in 1129. Its territory extends, between mountains and plains, for 4831 hectares”…

… “The nuraghe Erismanzanu rises at 803 m above sea level, in the eponymous locality, 4 km from Foresta Burgos, a region renowned for its landscape, for its wildlife heritage (it has been defined as “the kingdom of the Arabian-Sardinian horse”). The beauty of the nuraghe had also impressed Taramelli, (…), the archaeologist who, in the early decades of the century, wandered around our island visiting hundreds of monuments. He considered it to be “the most beautiful nuraghe in the area.””
