The ‘Longu’ of Padria is one of several nuraghi to which this name has been attributed, which refers to its height and, in full, to the considerable size that it shares with the many similar monuments in Sardinia.

On the website of the Ministry of Culture -Idese it is described as follows:

“A complex nuraghe, made of basalt blocks, well worked and laid out almost in a regular fashion, it is remarkable for the degree of conservation of its parts. The original tower, later wrapped by a second wall with two minor towers, presents the ground floor only partially encumbered with earth, but perfectly legible and with the vault entirely preserved.

Stairs give access to the second floor, also preserved up to the impost of the vault. It has the particularity of having a second door to the outside made in the original masonry of the first phase.

Leave the built-up area of Padria and, skirting the sports field, follow the road built to reach the monument for 2 km’.
