The Iscrallotze nuraghe in Aidomaggiore

The nuraghe Iscrallotze or Bolessene, located a few kilometres from the municipality of Aidomaggiore, is well-preserved at a height of approximately 4 metres.
The nuraghe, elliptical in shape, has an entrance on the south side that leads to a corridor with a flat roof, characterised by the presence of a niche. This corridor continues to the north, only to be interrupted by a collapse, and bends at a right angle to the east, where another entrance must have been located, which is also currently obstructed by a collapse.

The Tomb of the Giants of the same name, located on the basaltic plateau overlooking the valley of the river Tirso, was excavated during 2008-2009.
The burial chamber is built with irregular projecting basalt blocks that create a roof with an ogival section. It features, on the right side, a niche carved into a large slab, while the end part consists of an apse. The chamber is composed of four parallel wall faces: outer, inner and two intermediate.

At the centre of the exedra, a bilithic centred stele was placed in the front part. The top part of the lunette has three recesses that were used to hold three lithic elements (betilini), while the lower part contains the door.
Various bronze fragments and a lithic element that was originally part of the bilithic stele were found during archaeological excavations.
