On Tuesday, March 26, the first meeting titled “Nuragic Civilization and Unesco, just culture or also economic development?” will kick off the series of events featuring the Association “La Sardegna verso l’Unesco.”
This is a series of meetings that, through specific moments of discussion, aims to engage all sensitivities and professionals interested in the project.
During the first meeting scheduled for Tuesday at 6 PM at the Manifattura Tabacchi – event room – the President of the Association, Pierpaolo Vargiu, and the President of the Scientific Committee, Francesco Pigliaru, will engage in dialogue, discuss, and seek to outline the path so that the Sardinian nuragic heritage becomes a driving force for development capable of generating real and lasting growth for the entire Sardinia and for future generations, in a process that, starting from the immense historical and archaeological heritage, can combine environmental protection and new development opportunities.
It is increasingly evident how the ancient Sardinian civilization is the true identity card that can make Sardinia immediately recognizable. The initiative is based on the premise that the enhancement project of the Nuragic civilization can serve as Sardinia’s business card in the world. Not by chance, in the series of meetings, the definitive and complete program of which will be presented on Tuesday during the first appointment, all the professionals and sensitivities that share the common goal of creating development and prosperity through the enhancement of the Nuragic heritage will be involved: economists, archaeologists, landscape architects, anthropologists, geneticists, communicators, marketing experts, digital innovation technicians.
