The Bardacolo Nuraghe, in the territory of Sorgono, is a ‘monument, of a simple type, located in an area currently used for grazing; the entrance, has an architrave (a large horizontal stone supported by two other vertical ones that make up the entrance) surmounted by a triangular opening probably intended for unloading the weight of the structure.
The lintel is supported by two large granite boulders driven vertically into the ground.
The entrance leads into a doorway that gives access to the main chamber; it consists of well-crafted granite blocks and a roof with an ogival section (which tends to narrow towards the top).
The chamber is made of granite blocks, freshly hewn, with frequent use of wedges carved from pieces of granite. It is circular in shape and has no roof.
The chamber is currently not practicable due to the collapse of parts of the roof.
The site can be reached starting from the municipality of Sorgono and continuing along via Fratelli Costa in a westerly direction for 5 km. The site will be found on the left.
