Nuraghes Impari/s, an initiative promoted by the University of Cagliari in cooperation with La Sardegna verso l’Unesco and Poliste Società Benefit, within the framework of the RETURN project – Multi-Risk Science for Resilient Communities under a Changing Climate, with the aim of rediscovering nuraghi as symbols of resilience and transforming them into an opportunity for learning and creativity, is now underway.
From 13 October to 26 November 2025, three competitions involving teachers, students and pupils from all schools and universities in Sardinia will be active:
- Primary school – “Once upon a time there was the nuraghe”: discover and tell the story of the nuragic civilisation with a free essay (drawings, songs, stories or other creative forms).
- Secondary school – “Il nuraghe racconta”: create an original project to give voice to the nuraghi and tell their story and meaning (comics, stories, games or other content).
- SecondaryII grade, University and adult schools – “Imagine the future of the nuraghi”: propose innovative ideas on how nuraghi can inspire future and resilience (videos, illustrations, games, podcasts and more).
Entries will be voted by the public and assessed by a panel.
Total prizes: €11,000.
The initiative also includes aresidential training course, replicated in three editions (north, central and south Sardinia), lasting one and a half days each, with the participation of a maximum of 20 teachers per edition (60 in total). The course will offer:
- Scientific insights on project topics;
- Practical workshops to co-design teaching kits to be used in the classroom;
- Sharing and networking among teachers from different schools.
