Nuraghe Sa Domu Beccia in Uras

The area lies in a large hilly area at the foot of Monte Arci just outside the modern town of Uras.

The nuraghe Sa Domu Beccia, built of large basaltic boulders, has a central tower (mastio) of considerable size, surrounded by a triangular boundary wall with the addition of two other towers. A second wall with towers (antemurale) surrounds the complex and encircles some huts within it. Interesting are the connecting passages between the various parts of the structure and the two concentric staircases that led to the second floor, which is no longer preserved.

In the inner courtyard, excavated in 2013, a well over 11 m deep and lined with basalt was found.

Near the nuraghe, on the other side of the modern road, there is a small wood. The pleasant walk, which is also possible by bicycle, allows you to discover traces of the ancient Nuragic village within it. The route ends with an ancient well dug in the southern part of the settlement.
A short distance to the north, the outline of a Tomb of the Giants can be seen.

From Uras follow the S.S. 131 southwards, the complex is on the right after about 800 metres.
