Duos Nuraghes Complex in Borore

The Duos Nuraghes complex in Borore is located just inside the village. It is unusual because it consists of two towers ten metres apart, surrounded by huts. Cannonau grape seeds from 1200 BC have been discovered here. The towers were built at different times. One nuraghe, a single tower, consists of medium to large, polyhedral stones, carefully arranged in horizontal and oblique rows. The other nuraghe is also a single-tower with an entrance niche, staircase and chamber bordered by three niches arranged in a cross. The masonry is composed of well-crafted basalt blocks carefully arranged, at least from the third row, in very regular horizontal rows.
