67.2, 67a.2, 67b.2: The “Mesu Maiore”, in the territory of Seneghe, is a quadrilobate nuraghe that features a central tower surrounded by a bastion, to which the other four towers are attached. In some parts, it is somewhat ruined, however it still reaches a height of more than ten meters and the ground floor is well-preserved, while the upper floor lacks a roof although the masonry is still preserved to a certain height. As often happens in multi-story towers, the upper floor was characterized by a large window. (Il Portale Sardo)
The giant’s tomb Sa Fache ‘e s’Altare, also in Seneghe, is a corridor burial with a vaulted stele, probably bilithic.
The nuraghe Oppianu is a single-tower structure located in the locality “Benandrìa” of the Municipality of Seneghe, near other interesting monuments from the period.
“It is a particular nuraghe for its architectural structure which, canonically, presents inside the corridor, a niche on the right and the stairway on the left. The cell, which still preserves the intact tholos beyond the small diameter apex stone, has a single wide niche on the left, located under the stairwell…It is probably a ‘renovated’ nuraghe…modification probably made in medieval times for potential reuse or recently during the stone removal (Sardegna terra mia).
