69c.2, 69d.2 and 69e.2: Giant tombs of Murartu and Zanchia; Well temple of Cherchizzu – Silanus

69c.2, 69d.2 and 69e.2: The centinated stele of the giant’s tomb of Murartu, in Silanus, having no entrance door, must have rested directly on the doorposts that delimit the entrance. Or on a lintel that gave greater grandeur to the monument.

The great tomb of Zanchia presents the lower part of the bilitic stele still intact, while the upper part lies overturned on the other stones of the tomb corridor. (Supramontes)

The Well Temple of Cherchizzu or Su Laccheddu de s’Abbasantera, “discovered in 1881, was buried and then brought back to light in 1982 by the Superintendency.” (A. Moravetti)

The photos of the giant’s tombs of Murartu and Zanchia are by Sergio Melis; those of the Well Temple of Cherchizzu are by Nuraviganne.
