We must be grateful to the many enthusiasts who dedicate a large part of their free time to exploring Sardinia in order to capture, in their shots, the myriad of monuments typical of our prehistory and protohistory. This activity constitutes, rightly so, a fundamental contribution to the understanding of the unique and astonishing architecture expressed by an ancient civilization.

We should be even more thankful to those who do not limit themselves to focusing their lens on the most famous works, but constantly seek out the lesser-known yet equally impressive testimonies. Stone structures that are presented in all their majesty, proving the skill of the architects who operated in those times.

One of these passionate photographers is Giovanni Sotgiu.

Some of his photos, which we are attaching today, are a clear demonstration of what has just been stated:

Nuraxi ‘e Pauli (Seulo); Nuraghi Ascusa e Solene (Macomer); Nuraghe Arile (Nule); Nuraghi Piricu e Elighe Onna (Santu Lussurgiu); Tomba di giganti Pedra Longa (Uri); Nuraghe Aeddos (Orotelli); Pozzo sacro di Milis (Golfo Aranci); Insediamento nuragico di Monte Nuxi (Esterzili).
