This evening at ‘Sa Manifattura’ in Cagliari, the third meeting of the series organized by our Association took place, featuring prominent guests.Antonello Sanna, member of the Association andGiuliana Altea, Lecturer in Art History (UniSS). The two experts, starting from the path initiated by the Association for Unesco recognition, presented by Professor Sanna, addressed the theme of the ancient Nuragic civilization in an event titled“The Nuragic people are among us. Prehistory and contemporary visual culture.”Sardinia “which is all a nuragic heritage,” the future challenges to achieve a full enhancement of it, the commitment of the Association ‘La Sardegna verso l’Unesco’, and then the combination of creativity-heritage, were the suggestions given by Professor Sanna to the audience before starting the “artistic journey” between past and present. A journey that indeed touched on History and art, addressing identity themes and visual arts, with extraordinary parallels between contemporary and nuragic craftsmanship. The meeting represented the third event of the six planned. Another opportunity for in-depth discussion, dialogue, and encounter, which generated enormous interest thanks also to the passionate intervention of Professor Altea. The expert and lecturer in Art History, starting from nuragic models, retraced the work of some of the main artists, and then many designers, architects, and writers, who through their personal vision have carried forward a reinterpretation (or deconstruction) of prehistoric art, without forgetting fashion which, as the Professor said, “certainly has not remained immune to prehistoric charm.”
The series of events promoted by the Association is based on the assumption that the enhancement project of the nuragic civilization can represent Sardinia’s business card in the world.
